Bauhaus Video Tips
Series Suggests Uses for Video
Have you already skipped ahead and scanned the QR Code below? Be patient! Lol
A lot of people think QR Codes are out of fashion. Didn’t they come and go 20 years ago? Actually, they did, but they came back. In fact, your cell phone has a built-in QR Code Reader. Did you even know that?
At Bauhaus Media, we are fascinated with technology, so we couldn’t resist playing around with this. We decided to create a mini-marketing campaign and called on our friend and social media expert, Katie Goodman, to give us a hand. Besides being clever, Katie is also talented in front of the camera. So, together, we wrote a few short scripts and Katie helped us bring them to life.
Shooting in the Bauhaus infinity studio, the crew threw together a simple set, and we were off. Topics ranged from How-To Videos, Building Relationships, Social Media, Human Resources and Testimonials in the first round. Then, for round 2, we took on Doing Business with Covid 19, Branding, Marketing, Employee Communication and another video on Social Media. The set of 10 videos provides some great ideas in a quick and entertaining format.
The next issue was to get the videos in front of people. We used all the social media channels, posting links on LinkedIn, Facebook and the usual suspects. But to grab a new audience, we turned to something more traditional: Oversized postcards. And to make accessing the videos fun and easy, we printed a QR Code on them. The examples below are from our first effort to reach out to the medical community. But the same principles for communicating with employees, clients, patients, donors, political leaders… virtually anyone… are the same.
It’s the miracle of video. Make it fun and engaging, along with informative, and people will pay attention. They don’t have to read. Watching a video is an experience that engages eyes and ears to make sure your target audience gets the message, and retains it.
So, scan the QR Code above with your phone. Just select the camera function and point your cell phone at the QR Code. Or follow this link to watch the videos:
