Hill Country Show Benefits the Hearing Impaired

We always enjoy our work at the Bauhaus Media Group. Why else would we be doing it for 30 years? But sometimes an assignment is pure fun, such as the fashion show we covered in Boerne, TX, not long ago. It was a two-part show: First night was at a boutique hotel in downtown Boerne, and the next night was in a “country venue,” complete with historic barn and all the beauty of the Texas Hill Country.

It wasn’t our first “rodeo,” or rather fashion show. Years ago, we videoed the University of the Incarnate Word’s annual fashion show. In fact, we did that for several years running and always enjoyed working with the UIW faculty, students and professional models. The UIW shows were always first class, featuring the remarkably imaginative designs of UIW fashion students.

So, when the Boerne-area fashion show came up, we jumped all over it. We knew it takes the eye of an artist to capture the full flair and flavor of a fashion show. And one done in a barn was sure to be challenging. Turned out it lent itself to some great art.

Money for Aid the Silent was raised in many ways, including sponsors and partners for the event, but the highlight of the evening was the presentation of a $200,000 check from the George and Kim Rapier Family Foundation. Scarlett Ramey, executive producer for the event, brought in New York producers to accomplish it all in elegant fashion. Her guests were treated to a New York quality show in a Hill Country barn.
