Introducing Tailored MD

Introducing Tailored MD

Local Doctor Using Video to Promote Innovative Health Care Program

Dr. Charles “Wes” Clements has a plan for a better way to deliver primary medical care. It’s by subscription, or “Concierge” medical services. He doesn’t take insurance.  His idea is that for far less than a patient would pay for health insurance, his practice can deliver better, more personal care. In fact, for a premium rate, he will even make house calls! Do you even remember house calls?

He calls it Tailored MD. And he wants to get the word out, so he’s working with Brandon Sappington at Bauhaus Media to produce a video that will help people understand the advantages of this creative approach. And, of course, if it works for one medical provider, it should work for others; so, Brandon is hoping to talk to others in the health field about getting their message out on video. Videos are highly trusted by viewers. They show as well as tell exactly what the viewer needs to know. And retention of the message is high. Videos can be used on websites, in the office, or even provided on links that are emailed or delivered via QR codes or other methods.

But back to Dr. Clements. The one monthly price covers all the patient’s needs, including checkups, chronic disease treatment and testing, with no co-pays or deductibles. He works to not only manage, but to reverse chronic health conditions. There really are no additional costs. Now, of course, patients should also purchase catastrophic health insurance, in case big things come up which may require surgery or hospitalization. But, because the risk of those things is low, and since Tailored MD has no co-pays or deductibles, the total cost of both Dr. Clements’ tailored program and catastrophic insurance is still considerably lower than the total cost of most health insurance policies.

C Wes Clements III, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician practicing at Tailored MD, located in San Antonio, TX. He is a graduate of Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine and completed his residency training at The University of Virginia in Charlottesville.

Dr. Clements offers his program to people of all ages, as it includes wellness and preventative care. But he does recommend that children see a pediatrician until they reach age 13. He respects your time: No waiting and you always see your physician, not just whoever is available. Same day or next day appointments are available. Evening and weekend appointments are even available. And on each visit you are assured a 30-minute to one-hour session. If it fits your schedule better, you can even do a virtual appointment.
